Dear family!
Another week
has flown by. I will first share something that I learned. If you get water
inside your watch when you go on a hike in the rain and you don't have rice,
you can stick your watch in dry oatmeal for a few days and all the water will
absorb out. (I drew inspiration from the rice advice for cell phones.)
This week has
been mostly more of the same. We do a lot of contacting and a fair amount of
teaching. While we were waiting for the bus this morning, we started talking to
a lady who received lessons from Elders about 14 years ago. She has really fond
memories of meeting with them. She just never went to church. But it seems her
time has come to hear the lessons again. We'll go teach her sometime this week.
She left us with an open invitation :)
On Thursday, we
had training for new missionaries and their trainers. I didn't really learn how
to be a trainer, but it was a good spiritual boost. I suppose you can't really
teach someone how to train. Later in the meeting my comp and I had interviews
with President Klein. Interviews are awesome! First of all because they are in
English! Second of all because it's a great chance to be honest about where I'm
at in my growth as a missionary.
I'll share with
you the same thing I shared with President Klein in my letter this week: This
week my comp and I have done a lot of praying. I've realized that one of the
reasons we have companions is that when we pray and then we both have the same
idea of who to visit we can know that it is revelation and not just our own
thoughts.
I love you all
and hope you have a wonderful week!
