Hello family!
So this week
was interesting. Even though I didn't have changes, I still saw changes in my
area. Two more sisters were assigned to our area. And since they are sister
training leaders they are both together instead of splitting me and my comp. We
lost about half our area (sad) and many of our investigators and our recent
convert Lesly (who got baptized Friday). So now we have to get even better at
finding people in an ever-shrinking area! But it's exciting to have more missionaries
in the ward.
So Lesly got
baptized Friday. The family wanted me to sing with her neice Patricia. For as
much as they wanted the musical number to be perfect. We sang “His Hands” in Spanish.
We had technology failure, so we had to sing a cappella, and we ended up making
a new melody part way through, but we managed to do it together, so I don't
think many people realized just how bad we messed up!
Let me tell you
I was never marked as a singer at home, but somehow this ward now thinks that I
sing. I've now sung in two baptisms, and the bishop wants me to do something
for the program in the Christmas activity. And my comp and I are now in the
ward choir for the Christmas program.
Yesterday we
went out teaching with Silvia, an 18-year-old recent convert. I was super
impressed how much she stepped up and contributed to the lessons and even to
contacting. We showed up at one house where one of her friends was visiting and
she helped us get in. I don't think this person will be very easy to find
again, but maybe he is one contact closer to wanting to learn more....
I think that's
it for this partial week :).
Hasta el proximo lunes.
Love you all!
Hermana Davis
