Dear family,
It has been
quite the week. Can I just say that opening an area is a challenge? I've done a
lot of walking this week because we have to hunt for opportunities to teach.
On Thursday the
Elders in my zone had interviews with President Klein, but the Sisters instead
went to dinner with President and Sister Klein. Basically we crashed their
anniversary dinner. Very nice of them to share it with us!
Saturday night
we got to see the RS broadcast. I missed being able to hear President Monson's
voice because we watched it in Spanish. But it was still really good. We took
one of our neighbors, Gloria, with us. But the rest of the people we invited
didn't come. Sunday was the same story. We had invited everyone to church and
we had several people who had firmly committed to come. But no one came!
I know that
going out and looking is an important opportunity for us to grow as
missionaries and as a companionship, but sometimes I want a little more
direction on who to talk to and where to go.
I am really
super looking forward to General Conference next weekend. It is one of my
favorite weekends of the year! I believe that all the sessions will be
broadcast to our stake center, and I might even get to watch some of them in
English. We'll see.
I hope you have
a wonderful week!
Love,
Hermana Davis
