I am not sure
where January and February went, but my journal testifies that it is now March!
Wednesday night
we had a really good lesson with our neighbors, whom we've been teaching for a
couple weeks. We showed the 20-minute video of the Restoration. It really
touched the wife, and I think it got to the husband, too.
Friday night,
we, the missionaries, headed a ward activity. It was a charla forgonera
(fireside). It was complete with a small fire since it was outside. We put a
short movie and then had some activities afterward. Our neighbors came to the
activity and discovered they have quite a few friends who are members of the
ward. And then Sunday our neighbors came to Sacrament Meeting! They stayed only
the first hour, but they are slowly making progress.
On Saturday, we
taught one of the harder lessons of my mission. We taught Rides one more time
and then told him that we couldn't continue teaching him. When he finally can
tell us that he has his answer and wants to act on it, we will come back to
teach him. But he just needs some time to decide if he is really willing to
act. Until he hits the point he wants to act we aren't making good use of our
time or his.
